Quartz slabs are produced using up of 94% natural quartz, which make it extraordinarily hard and resilient slabs are non-porous giving it excellent hygienic properties that are not found in Granite and other natural stones. It is an excellent surface for kitchen worktops, bathrooms, floors and wall cladding using the minimum number of joints.
Quartz slabs also come in a variety of different shades of quartz colour, offering a number of decorative possibilities from a mere kitchen top to a project for a complete set of furniture.
Quartz surfaces and countertops are manufactured through a highly automated, yet strictly monitored process that includes the following:
Raw materials are inspected, then fed into mixers and blended together The mixture is then poured into a mold and formed into slabs come in various sizes and thicknesses depending on the brand.
The slab is then compacted by a special vacuum and vibration process at a pressure of 100 tons.
The slabs are moved to the curing kiln and heated to 90ºC for 45 minutes which gives the quartz slab ultimate strength and solidity.
Slabs are then gauged, calibrated and polished to a perfect finish, Quartz slabs are available in various textures and finishes in a wide range of colors, most brands have unique colours or finishes
Finally, the slabs pass through quality inspection to ensure our customers receive a top quality product.
Each slab is then marked and labelled with all relevant information necessary for the smooth operation of fabrication and logistics.
There are 1000s of colours and finishes of quartz materials to choose from we deal with all of the major suppliers, All suppliers have their own size slabs ranging from 3.000 x 1.380 to jumbo 3.300 x 1.650 some offer 12 ,13, 20, 30mm thickness others vary please see the downloadable guide!

All quartz despite being man made still have variations from batch to batch, the suppliers have acceptance guides as most of the pure colours can get colour contamination so once again please look into your material selection as no product is perfect in our opinion! Please look into the materials consistency and be 100% confident that your getting what you want as no supplier will want to sell you a product that wont make you happy!
Most quartz suppliers deliver on a weekly basis to ensure there is no delays and we receive the quality required we advise a minimum of 3 weeks notice for basic colours and significantly longer on textured or volume orders! None of the quartz producer’s manufacture in the UK so please be advised that we cannot supply what isn't in stock.
